review 1: Out of the entire series, I really enjoyed this book the most. (Even though I really really enjoyed the other books too.) There was something about the idea that the moon on Halloween could have so much more power than any other night made me happy. I liked the combination of different lore. (Werewolf + All Hallows Eve)This book, like the others, was a very fast read. The story gripped you from the very first page. I think it also helped that the books took place in quick succession (only a short period of time, a month or so, passed in between the books.)
review 2: Second book in the series, and yet again no disappointment at all. Totally original, however the book did seen short. Rylie has returned from camp, (where in the last book she turned into a werewolf
... more and watched Seth, who she loved get attacked) she's still a wolf and is struggling to control the changes. So what does she do? She loves to her aunt Gwyn's ranch. That's a clever idea, go to a place filled with live animals that a werewolf would love to eat. She's not very discrete is she? In this book Rylie's character annoyed me, she wasn't rebellious and I found her I be whiney and irritating. However Seth was he complete opposite, whereas in the first book he was secretive in this one he was open completely upon first sight of Rylie he revealed pretty much everything about why his family were there. Then his family were just brutal. His brother (Abel) was so creepy every time he was near Rylie I thought he was going to attack. And his mother (Eleanor) seemed to have no self control, she was unstoppable and seemed to care more about the hunt that her own family. The writing was at the same standard as the other book. But I found Six Moon Summer to be a lot more entertaining to read. I think it might have to do with the fact that this story had no thrilling violence or much suspense, it was made more personal. less
