review 1: My only problem with the book it's with the God part...I'm not religious 100% but something deep inside of me believes that there is something greater out there...but from this book we only get how they try to kill God...if there wasn't for this I would give it 5 stars.I have some hard time jumping between years and characters but it's ok...I just started understanding James, what he feels, why he feels it and for whom. Can't wait to read more and to see where they go from here...not that I don't know a little as I've started first to read the Ascent series...anyway I can't wait to see what S.M Reine comes out with in the final book of the descent series because this one just blown my mind...so many killings but so many news too...
review 2: I know I keep sayin... moreg fabulous things about this series, but it’s completely true. This book was yet another installment of everything I wanted!In this book, we get 100% James kick-assery from his perspective (with others thrown in). Ever wonder what James was thinking in some scene 3 books ago? We get it here! I was so excited that I never wanted this book to end. Yes, James made some questionable decisions. Yes, he deserves a punch in the face. But boy, I can’t wait to see how this series ends! We got all those mysteries that have been haunting us since book 1 solved and all of my questions (so far) answered in this amazing book.I was a little worried that the James/Nathaniel thing would start to grate on me, but I love the way they interact. They are two magical bad asses and it’s awesome to watch them knock down everyone who comes at them. I love this series so much that I was debating taking a break before starting the last book just so I could “savor” the experience. Who’ m I kidding, though? I want to see how it ends! less
