review 1: 2012, August 6I love this series of books well I actually love everything this author writes. Ms. Oak has a wonderful imagination and a great writing voice. I think this was probably one of the more emotional stories I have read in quite awhile. There is so much going on. First there is Logan Green from the Night in Bliss Colorado. He is so damaged and I would love to see him whole and free for the anger and nightmares that have haunted him. Next is Wolf. The big, lovable ex-Seal. I was happy that he was able to find someone that would appreciate his compassionate and dominant nature. Next there is Shelly McNamara-Hughes. She has gone through so much and she thinks that she needs to sacrifice so thinks will work out. Finally we have Leo, Wolf's brother. Leo has ... morehelped so many people but he needs as much help as those he has helped. I love all these characters. They have almost become family and I am fascinated with their lives. There are also other returning characters Ben and Chase Dawson, Julian Lodge and his two submissives, Jack Barnes and his two as well as Aidan and his two. This story is an emotional roller coaster. So keep the tissues handy you are going to need them. If you haven't read anything by Sophie Oak then please read her stories she is worth the time.2014, August 28This story takes place the same time as PURE BLISS. If you remember that James Glen says good-bye to Logan and Wolf at the beginning of PURE BLISS. Well Logan and Wolf Meyer have arrived in Dallas and they are ready to take up their new lives. Wolf is eager to meet the woman that he has been talking online to for the last month. Julian Lodge has set this match up in the hopes that it will make Leo Meyer finally make a decision about Shelley McNamara Hughes. Shelley has expressed an interest in Domination and submission and Julian wants Leo back the way he was.Leonardo “Leo” Meyer is all alpha male but he is letting his past rule his life. He is convinced that he is going to be like his and Wolf’s father. Their father left them when they were children. Leo is a great at helping people get over their traumas. He just can’t seem to help himself. I loved that we got to meet his ex-wife Janine. I liked her a lot and I was glad that she was willing to give Shelley some advice about how to bring Leo in line. Leo is also the more dominant of the two and is less willing to let things slide with Shelley. I enjoyed getting more of the history on the two men and their mother. I was also glad the Leo saw the light and found peace and love with Shelley and Wolf.Wolfgang “Wolf” Meyer has finally given up trying to get back into the SEALs. He was injured on his last mission and because he had to have titanium put into his leg he could continue on active duty. Wolf has been a little lost since his discharge. Wolf also thinks that his brother doesn’t like him. This leads to some misunderstandings and the lesson that if you are going to ease drop on a conversation you need to stay until the conversation is finished. Wolf is a gentle giant that can be a stern Dom. He handles Shelley so well until they can bring Leo into the relationship. I really liked that both Leo and Wolf were willing to do whatever it took to protect Shelley. We get to know Ben and Chase Dawson a little better in this story. They get their own story very soon. Julian hints in this story that he has a submissive that will be perfect for these two. I love how Julian has become such a busy body matchmaker for all the single men that he considers family.Julian is in his element in this story. He gets to help take out the bad guys and protect those that he considers family. Dani is six months pregnant in this book and both Finn and Julian are thrilled to soon be fathers. It is good to see that Julian and Dani are all right after the near death experience that they had.We also find out the Lexi is pregnant with their second child and Lucas and Aidan make an appearance in this story. Jack, Sam and Abby also make an appearance. It is always nice to see the other characters for this series. This is also the story where Kitten begins to make progress in becoming more normal. As always Ms. Oak has written a hot, sexy story filled with nasty vicious villains and hot alpha males. I would have liked to read about the punishment that Shelley had coming at the end of the story but I will be satisfied with the way the story ended. The last of the bad guys was hauled off by the FBI was there was justice in the end. There is a lot of spanking in this book as well as plugs and bondage. There is no sexual action between Leo and Meyer. I look forward to future books by this author.
review 2: Awesome as always! I have been waiting for Leo and Wolf to have stories!! Now I have to wait for Ben and Chase! Not sure I am about Kitten...I am not into the extreme...but she kinda grew on me at the end. I love the way the series are becoming more connected. It almost feels like they could be real places! I wanna move to Bliss just to pull up a lawn chair and watch all the madness! I wouldn't mind a couple of hotties laying claim to me while I was there! less
