review 1: This book was just not for me. I found the writing to be juvenile and immature, and really I just didn't care. I think the thing that bothered me the most that I couldn't shake off was the first chapter. I was expecting that this unwanted pregnancy (ending in adoption) was occurring in MUCH earlier times. It made sense to me then that there was royals, and people being ashamed that their daughter had a baby out of wedlock to someone under their status. NOT in present day time. So after that I just annoyed. I kept reading though, which is why I gave it 2 stars.
review 2: I liked this book because it was a fast read and reminded me a lot of The Princess Diaries (which is one of my favorite movies). I also really enjoyed the character development and the plot was... more definitely intriguing, I myself can see myself daydreaming of being a princess. I also enjoyed how the relationships between her friends and family weren't forced and realistic. Of course, I was cheering for Max and Blakely even before they were together. And I was definitely excited to continue into the series. less
