review 1: Starting off with this book, I really thought I was going to hate the heroine and that it would ruin the whole thing for me. And she still isn't one of my favorites by far. But, Ian was awesome, and the plot was just unbelievable. I loved seeing the Maggeans and their world, as well as the ending. Not only did it give a nice setup for the next book, but it was incredibly heartwarming and sappy, which happened to work in this instance. If you can make it through the first couple of chapters without giving up on the heroine, it's a really enjoyable read. And although it's not critical, I do recommend reading the previous book first because it, this one, and the next one are all very closely connected with trying to find the three guardian angels for the O... morerder.
review 2: My least favorite in the serie. Still a great story and a fabulous univers but I didn't feel close to the characters. Alice is too secretive and a bit twisted. A definitely not very grateful toward all Ian did for her. As for Ian, I was very undecided. One moment he is serious, the other too playfull. One moment focus on his honor, curse and all and next only on Alice to finally shut her down. It kind of hot on my nerves amd made it more difficult for me to really appreciate this book. However, I am very curious about Ry and what Thano became. less

Hard time getting through this one. Maybe because Ian was one of my least favorites.
