review 1: If your looking for a short mystery to read from Stephen King then you have found the right book. Two siblings head out together to drive across the country in search of somewhere new. While driving through the valleys where the trees are no where in sight and the tall grass licks the sky; they hear something... someone calling for help... but from where? Somewhere inside the tall grass a young child pleads for help...lost among the tall blades. Now the siblings are faced with the reality of what to do... do they stop and help? Or should they keep driving...
review 2: Che Stephen King sia il re della letteratura horror, non vi è nessun dubbio; che il figlio abbia seguito le impronte del padre mi lascia impressionato! "Nell'erba alta" è l'apoteosi dell'horror ... moredi King che da qualche anno aveva un pò allentato la presa. Questo racconto poteva benissimo essere trasformato in romanzo, per farci terrorizzare più di quanto non sia già successo. La questione del prezzo è stata già discussa (troppo per appena 50 pagine), però almeno per questa avventura ne vale la pena. Certo, il finale (come qualsiasi altro racconto) lascia un pò con l'amaro in bocca, non si è completamente soddisfatti, perchè in poche pagine si assiste all'inizio, al prosieguo e alla conclusione. Nonostante tutto penso che sia uno degli episodi più riusciti dello scrittore che ritorna senza dubbio a terrorizzare come ai vecchi tempi. Bentornato King e figlio! Voto: 4/5 less
