review 1: I used this book in my Beginning Filmmaking class this year. It is aimed at amateur filmmakers who wants to raise the quality of their home videos or short films. Stockman's irreverent, no-nonsense style covers just about everything you need to tell better stories, improve your composition, video and audio quality, and market your films. Written in short sections with practical exercises and memorable examples.
review 2: I picked this book on a whim from the local library. My initial thought was I will read a chapter here and there. It didn't work that way. I read it cover to cover.
