review 1: Great book. It's not a hard sci-fi, nor is it a simplistic setting for some high-minded ideas....it's funny, it's simple and it totally lived up to my expectations. When you read discworld by Terry Pratchett, you don't expect things to make sense...you just expect to laugh. This was working on the same principle, altough it's much less absurd, and makes a lot more sense :D Anyway....I enjoyed it for the humour, characters and plot. Definitely worth reading, if you're in a mood for some laughs :)
review 2: A fun, fast, enjoyable read. Some fun world-building. Not much depth, but I don't think that was the goal. If you like sci-fi light, and superhero/x-men type stuff, you will enjoy the heck out of this book. Infinitely better than Sanderson's "Steelheart"...Thi... mores is my first encounter with this author. I shall now post these thoughts, and then look him up to see what else he has written.Recommended. less
