review 1: Not as good as a volume as the past two. We got some insight into Touka as a character and the introduction of Shuu, the Gourmet Ghoul, and the elite gourmet club.I did enjoy the fact that Kaneki’s switched into fight/survival mode a lot quicker than before once his life was threatened. No more of that ‘I don’t want to hurt anyone’ mindset that he had at the beginning of the story. And for some reason I can’t help but like Shuu. Even though he’s a psychopath. But he’s a psychopath with style~
review 2: I may or may not have certain interests in characters like Tsukiyama in anime/manga fandom (my moral compass is also a bit odd in this particular fandom, thus the odd OTPs I have *oops*). I also LOVE Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter, so the person who sa
... moreid they're alike is spot on. Other examples: Muraki from Yami no Matsuei, Akabane from Get Backers. I also love cutesy characters though. I LOOOVE Kaneki, I actually love the wimpy loser-y cutesy Kaneki *hugs him*I also have to say that the Tsukiyama we see in the manga is a bit different than in the anime. In the manga he's dangerous and clever and polished and disgusting. In the anime he's all that but also a bit ridiculous and used for comical relief and sometimes that's upsetting. Although I love them both. Gaah! this turns into a mini rant about Tsukiyama XD *creeps into a corner* less
