review 1: I loved this book so incredibly much! I've made quilts for each of my children and look at them as a letter of my love to them. Something that they will treasure all their lives that will continue to warm them long after they've moved out our home. I was able to relate so well to the mom in the story. I was reading this story while I waited on my daughter at her gymnastics and found myself crying over this story in public!! It evokes strong emotions. I highly recommend this book.
review 2: I liked this book. I thought the first part of the book was better than the last third. I felt that the author described the feelings of taking a kid to college very well. The book deteriorates starting when Travis shows up at the motel. That scene was not well written
... moreand smacks of an editor or publisher asking that some drama be added at the last minute. I never understood what Molly meant when she commented about Linda's behavior with Travis. Those two scenes changed the tone from sweet and sad to bitter. I was pleased to see there was an epilogue, but I wanted it to be longer. I wanted it to include the end of the Molly and Travis story and more information about the quilt shop. less

It was a pretty good story. I kept wanting more from it but it was such a short story.

More like a 2.7. Easy read. Read on the plane from Indy.
