review 1: I've read and enjoyed many of Susan Wiggs's novels, especially the books in the Lakeside Chronicles. This one features several characters from earlier books, and encountering them again was like an unexpected meeting with a old friend. The plot revolves around a young woman who is hiding her identity, a veteran recently returned from war, and an old feud between two aging brothers, one of whom is dying and determined to set things right. Susan Wiggs knows what her readers want and she delivers in this standard romance that's perfect for a long afternoon at the beach.

Not quite as good as the others that I have read but still a lovely easy read.
