review 1: honestly i don't think the second book is all that memorable and lots of questions about the plot irked me. I do like that things are finally wrapped up with Onika though. I think the impossibility of Charlotte being reincarnated into a full grown girl with the actual years that were lived out while she was Charlotte blows my mind...and not in a good way. It really kept me from enjoying what romance was going on with Elise and Harlin or the plot with the shadows. Abe the other love interest was rather creepy. i thought he was kinda cute at first but then it quickly became really stalker-like and scary which confused me cause Harlin barely showed up in the first half of the story until Abe became crazy. Things started picking up when Harlin got involved but i wish it happen... moreed earlier. Im glad that story has ended but the ending gave indications of a book 3. Would i read it? probably, but im not dying to do so.
review 2: This one was really quite good! I wish they had the 3.5-star available because I would have awarded this book that in a heartbeat. Sometimes second books really aren't as good as the first, but I didn't find that with this one at all. Plus--bonus--this didn't have nearly the heartbreak of the first, either. The heroine was likable and not completely helpless, the bad guy doesn't get away with too much, and the hot guy continues to be hot still. Worthy entertainment indeed! less
