review 1: The plot got a bit lost somewhere along the line, the intrigue wasn't so intriguing because it was not a secret to you, only to the character, which wasn't done too well. The only reason it worked for me was because I had forgotten most of the first book which is definitely not a mark of quality. It was nice that it only took two books, instead of the standard three, but the series overall wasn't satisfying and of course the epilogue was basically unneeded as it is with most of these books.
review 2: I liked this book just as much as the first one. It kept me interested and I didn't want to put the book down. It's such an intense concept - having your memories taken and never knowing who your friends/enemies are. How can you trust anyone when you have no memory
... more of them or even parts of yourself? What do you believe? The characters are forced to trust their instincts and intuition even when they don't understand them. It was fast paced and had a satisfying conclusion. Really enjoyed these 2 books!!! less
