review 1: For some reason I was under the (completely mistaken) impression that this was the last book of the series. I was looking forward to a conclusion, to see where everything ended up. So, um, needless to say when there was about 10 pages left in the book I was like "well, that sucks". Oh gosh, do I keep reading these books?! I think I'll just read spoiler reviews or something. Gah. Who am I kidding, I'll probably get sucked back in. I've never understood love/hate reading a book or series, but that totally applies here.Anyway, I did like this one better than books 2 and 3, but that honestly isn't saying much. It was interesting to see where Gideon was coming from, but it didn't really explain or justify his actions or decisions. Basically it just reinforced to me that these t... morewo are absolutely bonkers and either really are made for each other, or they should seriously seek individual help and stay far, far away from one another.
review 2: what do i think... I think that as much as I love myself some Gideon Cross, I seriously could have done WITHOUT this book!For the love of literature Sylvia - give us scenarios, intense arguments, conclusions and fall-outs that aren't so anti-climactic. I nearly threw my nook out the window when Eva "took time from Gideon" when we all knew she was pulling his leg... CAUSE THEY ARE MARRIED!!!! I feel like nothing got resolved in this book, WE JUST KEPT GOING AROUND THE BUSH. Corrine, Hughes Sister, the reporter, detective graves, Vidal... all these ppl and nothing REALLY exciting ever happens. Nothing that REALLY makes an IMPACT or brings the reader to their knees (pun intended)! Lastly...LESS SEX...and MORE OF A STORY LINE!It's unrealistic that the woman has not gone raw b/w the thighs at that this point! So if our dear author makes those adjustments in book 5... leading to NO book 6.. I'll be a happy reader if not... less
