review 1: I'm having a hard time describing how I feel about this book. In many ways I really liked it. It was clean. I'm always happy about that. It's a fairy tale so it wasn't supposed to be realistic. But there are some things that seemed over the top. That actually didn't biter a great deal. I think the biggest problem I had with it was I was drawn to reading it. It seemed to take much longer to read than it should have. Overall I liked it and I will probably read more of her books as she writes them.
review 2: This book and the characters started off a little too cheesy for me initially, but they became more enjoyable as the story progressed. The question of how the Cinderella story would be righted, and did I want it to be, kept me turning pages. I liked how the ... moreauthor shared bits of other Cinderella stories and the way it fit with the main character's love for all things Cinderella. I gained a new appreciation for Cinderella from those tidbits. Overall a fun, light hearted read with characters that I would like to re-visit in future stories. It would be interesting to see how the characters evolve over time or go back in time and learn more about the grandmothers' stories. less
