review 1: This was an ok book, easy reading and I went throughout it quickly. through most of the book, however, I kept feeling like the author was laying down the background for the story, and so I kept waiting for the story to begin. But that WAS the story. The climax seems to occur at the last five or so pages. I am also wondering what Dagmars note to Nicolas meant! It was never answered. Seems like sequal could answer more questions.
review 2: Really?? I kept closing the book to make sure it was written by Ms. DeRosnay... It started out as garbage and ended as garbage. It could have been a very good book. The storyline was credible enough. But the "star" of the show, Nicholas, was a very selfish, narcissistic, immature, lazy,self1worshipping young man. Th... moree "paper porn" we could have done without. There were actually a few paragraphs here and there where I thought; If she wrote the whole book this way, it might have been salvageable. There's always hopwe that the next book will be better. less
