review 1: This story lagged in the middle--I still feel like I was left hanging a bit with the story of Nicolas' father and with other aspects of the story as well. I did like the ending, but there were so many characters that were left undeveloped. There were parts of the story that I found extremely repetitive--we get it, Nicolas is a selfish jerk who let fame go to his head... Overall, I would not recommend this book to a friend---but I liked the story enough to finish it!
review 2: I find I am usually a contrarian when it comes to books that are universally loved or hated. Not so in this case. The Other Story has a terrible Goodreads rating, and I find that I have to agree with the sentiment. This novel just didn't succeed on any level - the family secret that
