The Subterrene War
review 1: That was a rough book I just couldn't put down. It's bleak and dark and highlights some of the worst parts of humanity. It has one of the most flawed protagonists I have ever read with few if any redeeming characteristics who spends the majority of the novel either high off his gourd, on the edge of insanity or just full on freaking nuts. Disturbing, morbid, gruesome and very hard to put down. I'm very glad I decided to read it. It won't be any easy or comfortable read for some but I found it worth it.
review 2: Didnt really like it. I liked it a little less than I expected going into it, so I rated it 2. I'm not a fan of war books, or even adventure novels, and only read them occasionally so I wasnt really expecting much from this story, I just really wanted
... more it to fulfil a challenge, and I could barely push my way through it. The genetics idea was interesting, and I enjoyed the relationships between the men, but that was it. less
