Heart of the Wolf
review 1: Oh Hunter was dreamy! Dev is still my favorite male, but Hunter was pretty darn close. And I liked Tessa a lot as a female. She seemed pretty strong and clear-headed which is always nice when you're reading about the mate of an alpha. I thought Meara was interesting too. I would be curious to read her story if she gets one. The only thing I wasn't super big on was how chill Hunter, Ashton, and Rourke seemed to be together considering they all had some kind of physical relationship with Tessa. Other than that, I thought this was a very well done book and I can't wait to keep reading this series.
review 2: If this hadn't been my airplane book, I don't think I would have finished it. The beginning is fun - cheese-o-rama and melodramatic - and the frequent descript
... moreions of the big-busted heroine's turtlenecks and the manly werewolf hero's manliness were quite entertaining. But after awhile the rhetoric about "real men" and the arbitrary (from what I could tell) differentiation between alpha and beta werewolves went from funny to annoying. By the end, I felt like I was slogging through a morass of makes-no-sense in order to reach the end. If it had been shorter or - better yet - had tighter editing, I think I would have enjoyed it more. It's very unlikely I'll read anything else by this author. less

2.5 * - just all right. The mystery isn't that engaging and it just felt kind of meh...
