review 1: Perhaps one of the most profound works written on the topic of religious uncertainty for a Mormon audience. Givens' outlines a coherent and commanding treaties on doubt and why we must accept doubt and silence as a significant part of any faith endeavor. The great irony in focusing so intentionally on doubt is that Givens gave place and voice for my faith. While directed towards an LDS/Mormon audience, this is a significant work that could and should find room on the shelf of any believer. I found myself highlighting passages on just about every page and look forward to returning to them often.
