review 1: Insgesamt ein spannender Thriller. Meine Minuspunkte... 1. Psychopathische Serienmörder finde ich nur mäßig interessant, vor allem, wenn die psychologischen Hintergründe so wenig nachvollziehbar dargestellt werden wir hier. 2. Das Hickhack zwischen Polizei und Privatermittler fühlte sich für mich zu klischeehaft an. 3. Es gab diese Momente, wo ich nur stöhnen konnte "...wie kann man sooo blöd sein???" Ich meine: wenn es mir schon gelingt, einen Psychopathen niederzuschlagen, dann fessele ich ihn doch oder mache ihn sonstwie unschädlich. Und lasse ihn nicht einfach rumliegen, damit er alsbald wieder aufwacht und erneut über mich herfällt...
review 2: The dead tracks is a book that keep you interested until the end, it has a good pace and keeps you gue... moressing throughout. There are some really good set pieces and the main character is easy to empathize with being real and interesting. The plot was well thought out and had different strands to follow. After the book was finished I felt it didn’t impact on me as much as I thought it would. I really liked the small chapters. less
