review 1: I found this book to very humorous, cute, enjoyable, and just overall fun. It is easy to relate to your own middle school experience with the different 'stories' of the origami yoda. It is kind of a reflection on the growth that one has to experience during those years, still in childhood but wanting to be an adult, wanting to believe in something mystical like the origami yoda, and wanting to be 'mature'. It did a fantastic job of showing the perspectives of the different types of people there are, the nerd, the weird kid, etc.
review 2: I really really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of sixth grade and how horrible that experience was! I found it funny how Origami Yoda gave such wise answers and how the fate of a girl and boy relied on his answer. This book
... more was an interesting read, I would never have thought to write a book about origami yoda and never would have read this book, but it was part of my class on Elementary Ed. I thought it was a spunky little book and it would be a fun book to have children read in the sixth grade. An extension activity would be to make their own origami yodas! less
