review 1: 3.75I love Toni Aleo's books, always have since i'm a hockey fan as well. I bleed Blackhawks' black and red ;) I also loved this book but i didn't love-love it as much as I did the others. Yes, Karson King will sweep you off his feet as do all the other Assassin players. But to be honest, this book disappointed me a little bit. It just felt like everything was going back and forth all the time between Lacey and her dad. Karson was a trooper throughout it all. Lacey just took her damn time in believing Karson and it just dragged out a bit, up until the last few pages where Lacey grew a backbone and stood up for herself. The romance was there as was the humor. Boy, let me tell ya The King family is a hoot and then throw JT into the mix and it gets even better. Not my favorit... moree out of the series but still a good book.
review 2: Just when I thought this series was receiving better editing for the typos, etc. a home stand is called a homestead, a instead of at.... This title also features new characters for the team and their female love interests, Larson and Lacey, who get quite gaggy in their expressions of love. Nice mention from the hockey player to non incur debt. Even less hockey action in this one, and some confusion, players are mentioned as defensemen but then they are talking about being on "lines" which is a term for the forwards. This series is losing its appeal for me. less

My third favorite of the series. I liked it a lot. Shea and Ellie will always be my favorite.
