review 1: I spent the whole weekend AND the beginning of this week with Aleo's "Assassins" series. Every single book met my five-star-rating. I connected with the story, felt the character's emotions and couldn't put the book away. I devoured every page. Normally I'm getting confused with stories written in third-person narratives. Most of the time I think it's the wrong choice of narrative form for a contemporary love story. It is easier to connect with the story and feel the characters's emotions when the story is written in first-person narrative but Aleo's writing style is good and vivid enough to accomplish the connection. I laughed out loud, teared up and cried with all her stories.I loved "4 & Counting". It's nice to see that Elli isn't just a baby producer. ;-) That's the im... moreage the reader can get from Elli's and Shea's appearances in other books. I would love to read more about their family's live.
review 2: was only 29 pages long but was great. This was a catch up of Elli & Shea as the twins come into the world & also a prelude to Blue Lines the next book in the series. It was short & sweet & explained a lot that I missed having started on book #4 of the series....especially where Elli & Shea were concerned & their waiting a year to see if they wanted to expand their family anymore. What are they nuts 4 kids under 4 in 3 yrs......can you say CRAZY!!!!!! It fit right in the series & I loved it. less
