review 1: I spent the whole weekend AND the beginning of the week with Aleo's "Assassins" series. Every book met my five-star-rating. I connected with the story, felt the character's emotion and couldn't put the book away. I devoured every page. Normally I'm getting confused with stories written in third-person narratives. Most of the time I think it's the wrong choice of narration method for a contemporary love story. It is easier to connect with the story and feel the characters's emotion when the story is written in first-person narrative but Aleo's writing style is good and vivid enough to accomplish that. I laughed out loud, teared up and cried. I loved that Elli and Shea don't rush in their relationship and have to build trust first. I can totally relate with the story and re... moreally loved how Aleo handles the insecurities about weight gain and weight loss. I hope, I will find my Shea Adler ;-)
review 2: This book was written incredibly well. I loved every aspect of the book. It was funny, romantic, realistic, and angst filled. I could not put the book down and am now a very sleepy blogger and mother but it was worth every minute. I really felt like I knew all the characters and feel like they are a part of my life now. I just want to go back and read it again. The saddest part was when it ended. This is my second book by Aleo and am sure it will not be my last. For more reviews, go to my blog bbsbookreviews.com less
