review 1: I read everything by Tori Spelling. I'm so intrigued by her ability to transfer her 90210 popularity into the business of just being herself. I think she's a really hard worker, with all of her TV shows and side businesses. This book is beautifully shot and all about party planning in terms of themes, colors, special touches, etc. It will make you feel like you have never thrown a great party in your entire life.
review 2: I was super excited about this book, but after perusing it, was disappointed; not because it wasn't helpful entertaining advice, but because if you subscribe to EdiTORIal (Tori Spelling's online blog) you would notice that many of the entertaining ideas presented are taken directly from this blog. Many of the party planning ideas Tori cre... moredits in this book, she has blogged about since the induction of her blog.I was also disappointed that there weren't more directions to make various foods and crafts she uses in her party planning ideas. There were some, but not the ones which were I found more desirable. One more thing....not all of Tori's party tips are inexpensive...If you've ever watched any of her shows or followed tabloid magazines, you'd know that she spends quite a lot of $$ on parties...wished there was more "party planning on a dime" tips and advice...Overall, had some helpful party planning tips, but I think you could definitely pick up something better.... less
