review 1: This was a very very good book on Judas. This book is about Judas and him growing up. Its shows the hardship that he faced then becoming a teacher of the law till he met Jesus and everything changes from there. He follows Jesus and learns from Him. Till the time that Jesus was given over to the high priest for Jesus death by Judas himself.I really enjoyed entering the time of the New Testament of the bible. It was cool to follow Judas around then and see how he felt and saw about his new teacher teach. This is the first book I have read of Tosca Lee's and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the way she told the story and you could see she has done a lot of research on Judas life. It was a fun read and I really cant wait to read more from Tosca Lee.
review 2: When I
... morestarted reading this book, my one fear was that it would depict Judas at one extreme or the other - either inherently evil with no chance of redemption or a misunderstood man whom the Bible has merely made out to be a villian. I was not expecting Judas to be so human...and in many ways, so like me. While this book is fiction, there is enough of the story grounded in Biblical truth that I could really believe this was the life that Judas lived. I have often wondered what might motivate a follower of Jesus to betray Him. Tosca Lee provides a story that is not only believable but causes me to ask myself,"What would I have done in the same situation?" less

Fascinating novel that imagines a more positive look at Judas Iscariot, betrayer of Jesus.
