review 1: Dog carries around a little blue suitcase, which has in it everything he needs. One day he meets Mouse, and they play together. Then, Mouse goes on his way, Dog feels lonely, and realises his suitcase doesn't have everything he needs, and he has been missing a good friend. Him and Mouse meet again, and live happily ever after.This is a sweet book, suitable for Nursery, Reception or Year 1 children, either as a standalone story or to talk about friendships. It's got lovely pictures, made from collaged paintings, paper, and little features like little maps, tickets and postmarks.The book comes with a QR code, which when you scan, gives you an audio recording of the book. Love this feature.
review 2: Sometimes we think we have all we need to be happy. And the... moren someone comes along and adds so much happiness to our lives that when they leave, we feel their absence so much that the things that we thought made us complete, don't make us feel that way anymore. Such is the story of Dog and Mouse. Friendship is such a special treasure. I loved the colour tones of these illustrations by Rosalind Beardshaw. less
