Pros and Cons(I wanted them together this time): When I saw this I immediately grabbed it from the library shelf! I am in love with BBC's Sherlock so a book about a few kids who are ancestors of the great detective? Genius! So the first few chapters I as taken in, I loved it. However it did not live up to my expectations, after the beginning it became a normal, sometimes boring, s... moreometimes interesting mystery book. And lets be honest: Xena and Xander? Those are just weird names! However the mystery was still somewhat enjoyable and so I am interested in picking up book two in this series, Iffy: It's a kids book so nothing really iffy :)
review 2: Two children discover they are related to the famous detective known as Sherlock Holmes. They just moved to London due to their parents' careers. They are playing a game outside their hotel when they receive a mysterious invitation. This invitation sets them off on an adventure and on the path of an unsolved Holmes case. This is a great series for independent readers. It is rich in vocabulary and plot. I will definetly add this one to my class library. less
