review 1: Trish has a way of writing that is just so honest and hits you right in the heart. I felt for Callie so much and never gave up on her. Where the Stars Still Shine has a great cast of characters, they will make you laugh and they will make you cry. There was one conversation I was really hoping would happen, so I was slightly disappointed when it didn't. I will just have to have faith (like Callie) that it happened behind the scenes. I have a feeling I will be thinking about this book for awhile.
review 2: Couldn't pass up this book when Melina Marchetta thinks highly of it herself! This is very reminiscent of her writing and no wonder she approves. The gritty, raw, and realistic presentation of Callie's story tugs at the heart! My heart breaks for her and the ... morelove she has for her Mom who is kinds of wrong for her! But not everything's lost when Callie finds herself being reunited with her Dad. It's a wonderful story about family, friendships, and love! Such a touching and heart-warming read! less
