review 1: This volume was even better than the first! We are seriously starting to delve into the world of shonen manga publishing, and it is absolutely fascinating! The "big reveal" moments had me flipping pages faster than you can say "Bakuman", and the characters were fantastic in that they all have very different personalities one from the other, rather than being similar to each other.I love how measured the romance is in this series. It isn't overdone, and isn't the main focus of the story, but it's a nice little breather from all of the bated-breath inducing action when it comes around. Can't wait to pick up volume 3!
review 2: So this volume's achieved 3 things the first didn't. 1)I'm rooting for them to succeed; that can be attributed to the rivalry they now have
... more with the 15 year old prodigy, Eiji, 2)the characters' faces match up with the rest of their bodies and art, which btw was never bad, it's perfection down to the smallest detail, just the faces were drawn too weirdly, and 3)I have a favorite character, Hattori, their editor. I wanted so much to give this volume 5 stars, and it's truly very close, I'd say it's an 8.6 out of 10. But you still can't tell who's talking sometimes, and I'm not rooting for Saiko and Miho, I don't care whether they become a proper couple in the future or not, and that's a problem because it's the whole reason why Saiko is determined to have a series of his own published and made into an anime, I should empathize, but their love for one another is annoying. And most importantly, I don't feel as connected to Saiko as I'd like, and it's because he doesn't love manga as much as Eiji or even Shujin does.I'm definitely into being walked through the process of becoming a manga writer/artist. On that note, this series isn't for everybody, I think it's as complex as it gets in the world of manga. There's a LOT of dialogue, and busy, elaborate illustrations. It really is a manga within a manga, you can't help making the connections between the writers, Ohba and Shujin and the artists, Obata and Saiko. Oh it actually achieved four things, #4 being, I really want the next volume. less

It gets more interesting than the (rather boring and seemingly too systematic) first volume. Walau begitu, akhirnya muncul juga karakter nyentrik yang langsung mengingatkan sama ciri khas duo mangaka Ohba-Obata ini dari karakterisasi dan desain perwujudannya, Niizuma Eiji, hope to see more of you.

Bakuman By:T.O, This book is an amusing book to read because you learn the way the Japanese draw and how there life is even though this is a comic book.I would say this is a 5-5 because the art and the new worlds and design and features on the buildings. This book inspired me to be an artis because those reasons.Like i can't really explain this book the way i wont because the whole story well just get spoiled, but what i would say in this story is that the boys in this story have a dream, and in the first one you have to read it to know what is it all about, but this book isn;t a left to right book its right to left.
