I’ve always been a big fan of Lisa See’s historicals, so I was very excited to find a Canadian author who also writes historical fiction! This book sounds absolutely fantastic and I’ve heard that Chang weaves in some spiritual aspects to her books. And really, with “murder, political intrigue, jealousy, forbidden love” how can this book NOT be fantastic?
