review 1: This was an "ok" read as the stars show. The book itself was not bad. In fact, I found the premise and basic story pretty good. It is the story of a young teen discovering his powers and that he has a destiny to save the world from darkness. Some of the art is a bit overloaded, but it is good overall. While I get this is geared to teens, specifically teen boys, and I like the female form as much as the next healthy male, the gag of Ral's obsession with boobs does get a bit old or grinding after a while. Overall, if I come across the next volume in the series, I may read it, but I won't actively seek it out.
review 2: Beautifully drawn but ridiculous. Too bad. I was very interested in Ral as a character, but the author isn't giving him much space to breath bet
... moreween the hetero-obsessive rhetoric about breasts and the battle scenes. The sequencing is a lot like a Saturday morning cartoon -which neither adds to nor detracts from the story. Also, very little character development is applied to the shadows -both good and evil. less

The art was pretty good, but the story was just okay. Negima is a better option.

This series is just awful. Not even the art could save it.

Not sure what to make of it. I was at least amused.
