review 1: Listened to this on audio and it was a fun listen. It is part of a box set and is reputed to be a short but it had enough action and flesh to the characters, especially the little girl that for me it felt like a full length novel. The story is predictable yes, well thus far. I only now started on book one, but the predictability is part of it's charm. A good read i bet my one major complaint is that the audio is really soft. I a have no problem with the narrator but would have preferred that during the final mix they enhanced the audio output. WaAr
review 2: Quite a quick read, took me about 45mns, a lot happens in that time in the book, and it acts as a good setup for the continuation of the series. I personally would have preferred a longer page count to all
... moreow more character development, which would in turn help me care more when the individuals meet their grisly demise.Would like to read more of the series to see how the author develops the storyline. less

Just a short prequel to the series, not very exciting yet but will see how the next book is.

This was a prequel origin story for a longer series, pretty short

A good read. Much better than the "first" book in the series.
