review 1: I give this book 2/5 stars because I didn't really like the plot in this book and a lot of scenes felt very repetitive. It lost my interest easily, and the big twist in the end I had guessed. I don't really like the morbid quality of these books, the macabre feeling this series has. This series wasn't what I expected it to be, and therefore I'm feeling pretty let down. I suppose, in a way, it's my own fault because I had thought it'd resemble more of a mix of Hunger Games and the House of Night series, and seeing how it is related to neither, I'm left disappointed. I just... I didn't like this book.
review 2: Sigh... What can I say that I haven't said before about Veronica Wolff's AMAZING "Watchers" series? I adore every single book. There is literally NEVER a ... moredull moment. I'm never bored and if anything I'm always pining for the next book before I've even finished what I'm reading at that moment. I love Acari Drew because she is such an out of the box character from the normal YA characters. She is smart and she knows it! She is snarky and has a potty mouth, and I love every second of (reading) it! Not only can I not wait to read the next book, but I've met Veronica at an event before and let me tell you she is one of the nicest people I've ever met! I've met A LOT of authors, and hardly any ever took the time to actually have conversations with their fans. She talked to me for, like, literally a half hour! I adore her and her series and will always be a fan! less
