review 1: So I wanted to finish reading the series before I commented on it and I have to say another amazing read by a great, great writer. I read a lot of fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi YA and there are few series that are capable of making me experience a gamut of emotions. As I read book after book in this series, I felt I grew to know the characters intimately. I invested myself in the story and rooted for these characters as they met with obstacle after obstacle. I felt their pain as they fought the evil in their midst. I felt their pain when they hurt, both physically and emotionally. The author took me on a ride. For me, as a reader, it was a roller coaster of emotions that I experienced and what I wanted by the end was to see the heinous villain taken out. I held my breath as th... moree events unfolded and exhaled when finally, finally it culminated to the inevitable showdown. Dear fellow Reader, all I can say is I was not disappointed in the least and am now a fan shouting to the mountaintops – YOU GOTTA READ THE WATCHERS SERIES!
review 2: 3.5-This was the last book in the series. We finally get the answers and the battle that we've been waiting for. I was not disappointed in the story. In my first review of the first book I commented how familiar the story was to Twilight. The familiarities ended with the first book. Starting in the second book it became its own beast. The story was unlike anything that I've read before. I definitely give the author five stars on her story, starting in book two. I would however, encourage the author to have the books edited. I understand how expensive that can be, however I'm sure that you can find friends and family that would read it to find errors. The fourth book was almost unbearable and the reason I didn't give it four stars. Nothing worst than to pay money for a book full of errors. I tolerated it, but it just lacks professionalism. I have one more rant and you don't need to read it. The author includes details about the history of the Michaels family and leaves the readers clues. The clues after reading the book were page fillers. I would have enjoyed the details of the mystery more if the author followed through with the clues to find out what they meant. I know this is pretty cryptic, but I don't like to give anything away in my reviews. If you've read the book it has has to do with the last page of the Michaels history book and how grandpa Michaels tells his daughter to look for the truth in his words that she is the only person that he can trust, yet Ellen isn't included in the discovery of the truth. I also found it unnecessary to bring Ellen and Sam's secret into the story line. less
