review 2: this story at times wrenched my gut. it is what happens when animals display Trueness of living beyond humans. and they do it all the time. they don't know that they can't do. so they do the impossible. a book i really enjoyed. my favorite scene wss when bandula scaled the cliff leading the herd and Williams watched as the top of his head emerged at the cliff edge and then his eyes. the elephant was confidence itself. oh to have lived the life of Williams. less
