Constable Molly Smith
review 1: Cathy Lindsay, a high-school teacher married with two children, seems an unlikely target when she is shot by a sniper. Sergeant John Winters learns that she had an embarrassing crush on a colleague, science teacher and Afghanistan vet Mark Hamilton, and hones in on him as a suspect because he was a weapons expert. Constable Molly Smith becomes peripherally involved in the investigation but spends most of her time more realistically in constable like work such as patrolling the bar scene in downtown Trafalgar. In between night shifts she spends her time skiing rather than sleeping. She is fond of her boyfriend, Canadian Mountie Adam Tocek, but he just doesn’t have enough skill for the super difficult slopes. A good read with interesting characters and a reasonably susp... moreenseful plot.
review 2: Set in the fictional town of Trafalgar, British Columbia (oh, lets just call it Nelson), this is a series that always satisfies. Author Vicki Delany captures of the essence of the hippie-dippie, green, ski resort town Nelson, BC in this series. That Molly's real name is Moonlight is no surprise to those of us who grew up in the midst of British Columbia's hippie years.Well written mystery by a consistently good author, Vicki Delany. There is a fascinating story. And with each book in the series, we know the characters better and we are now cheering for them. Great read! You should read the whole series as it is very well written. This book could also stand on its own. Loved the ending! less

Light fast read with a few relationship quandaries to make it a bit more interesting

A bit too light weight. Pleasantly diverting, but not this writer's best work.
