review 1: I received a copy of this series through NetGalley from the publisher/author for an honest review (thank you!). I liked that all three books from this series was bundled into one collection. The book alternates between Abby, Connor and his brother, Brian's point of view. The books in this collection (1-3) focus on all 3 and a separate 4th book continues Brian's story.I was totally team Connor from the beginning. I wholeheartedly agreed Abby was "in love" with him and it was different from her longtime love with Brian, her friend. I liked the development of Connor, a playboy who only does relationships for a month at a time. You see how he develops a friendship with Abby that adds to the chemistry that's already there. Although it was amusing he re-introduced himself to Abb... morey about 6 times over the past 9 years, always forgetting her, I did think it was odd that suddenly now he was interested and attracted to her. I also found Abby's high school experience very at odds of how her character was developed up to that point. It was alluded to that she was a little loose and drank a lot in college, but the high school stuff was pretty kinky for 16 year olds. That felt weird to me so early in the book. Plus, she was described so innocent and goodie (she cursed "sugarplums"). The other part that was a whaaat? moment was in the 3rd book when she has to choose between the brothers and how they propose she decides. Meh. Kind of insulting to all 3 of them to round robin it.Soo... basically I really liked the first and third books the most. Those were the ones with Connor. I liked that he was a little alpha. I liked that finally a woman was able to break through his barriers and find love.
review 2: Really enjoyed this series and so glad I was able to read the box set because the cliffhangers at the end of each book would have been impossible to deal with! Even heading into the third book I had no idea how I as a reader wanted the story to turn out so it is nearly impossible to put down before reaching a resolution! Abby is adorable and the Sullivan brothers are both to-die for for different reasons. However, after getting into the third book I felt there was only one way for the relationships to work out that could keep everyone close in the future and that's how it happened! This is definitely a series that takes a lot out of you as a reader--tons of joy but plenty of heartbreak too. less
