review 1: I liked this book best out of the Wallflower Wedding series because I really enjoyed the hero, Griffin Croft. He was just an ordinary, nice guy. Don't get me wrong, he was still good looking, rich and in line for a title, so he met the criteria for your standard hero. However, so often the heroes in historical romance are dark and brooding rogues and rakes, who talk of their mistresses and how they have no desire to wed. But Griffin was different. He lived at home with his parents and sisters, escorted them to society events and hoped to find a bride to secure their future as his father's health was ailing. When he realized he felt something for Delaney, he went out of his way to engage her and delighted in being with her, instead of being desperate to escape the feelings ... moreshe stirred. My favorite quote, courtesy of Griffin's inner thoughts: "She would trust a stranger with her fortune, but she wouldn't trust the man she claimed to love with her heart." Griffin was just a likeable character, which was a very good thing because Delaney could be annoyingly obtuse at times.Although I enjoyed this book, the resolution and ending felt rushed. Because of that, there were a few items I felt were left unresolved. 1. Did Elena Mallory get her comeuppance? God, I hope so. 2. What happened with Delaney's mother? Did she come back and reconcile with her father? 3. What happened to the horrible biddy Mrs. Pursglove? 4. And what about Calliope Croft? I hope she is a future heroine. 5. And what happened to Bree? Future heroine as well? 6. And for the love of God, what was Merribeth referring to at the end of Winning Miss Wakefield when she said, "Delaney? Well, that's a completely different story." Why is it a different story? Ugh, you never explained this, Lorret! All in all, Finding Miss McFarland was a fun, quick read.
review 2: The Wallflower series has been very entertaining and I have enjoyed all three of the books very much. Finding Miss McFarland is the thrid book in the series. Delaney McFarland is a red head with all that goes along with her hair color. She is outspoken, stubborn and does what she thinks is right eventhough she knows some of the things she does would send her father into an apolexy. She is compassionate and helps those less fortunate than she is. She knows she has to marry and after the debacle at her debut she knows she can find anyone to marry her because of her large dowry. She does not care who she marries as long the groom only wants her for her money. The hero Griffin is a rake who can't seem to stop thinking about Delaney since they last encountered each other. He wants to stop her from making the mistake of marrying for convience, but he really doen't want to get married himself, and then they kiss and all bets are off, he wants her for himself and will do anything to to have her. Vivienne's prose is very well written, the back and forth between the two main protagonists is witty. Her character's are complicated and easy to like, eventhough they have flaws. I enjoy her writing very much and look forward to her next book. I would recommend this to a friend. less

Not as good as the other two. I thought the main characters were boring along with their romance.
