review 1: This book is one that I grew up with and it is a great way to help young children learn how to read as i was the way that I learned how to read. I would use this in my classroom to show the difference in similar stories from culture to culture. For example I would do a read aloud with my students from this book about Noah's flood and then read the Native American flood story, that way students would see the retelling of a story and be able to compare and contrast the flood stories of different cultures.
review 2: My mother used this book to teach me how to read and I'm glad she did. While some of my playmates were reading stories about the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and other fairy tales, I was reading stories about Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jonah and o... morether bible characters who faithfully served the only true God.This book deserves a perfect rating. It can help parents in inculcating moral values in the hearts of their children. less
