review 1: The plot: On a cruise ship, two teens disappear in mysterious circumstances. What happened to them? And will someone from Emma's family be next?Overall, this book was just okay. I thought the character development was sorely lacking although I'm assuming this is because the author thinks we read the other books in the series. Still, even basic relationships are not explained in the book. For example, I have no idea how Emma even knows Cristoffer. The storyline is also very unbelievable. Conjoined twins beating up gangs in Italy when they're 10? The book is also fairly graphic and disgusting. The combination of the unbelievable storyline and weak characters made the book just eh to me.
review 2: This is really more of a 1.5 star book. I've read the books in the s
... moreeries that precede this one and they are a all far better than this book. The expression "jumping the shark" comes to mind. The story comes so far out of left field it is unbelievable. And we get very little knowledge or development of the recurring characters. You could pretty much skip this one and I don't think you'd miss anything in the series.I think I wish I hadn't read it. less
