review 1: The love scenes between Menolly and Nerissa feels like the author was going "let's just get it over with so I can write inside my comfort zone again". On the one side I think it's great that Menolly and Nerissa where made a couple but on the other, if the author is that uncomfortable writing about it (and the scenes with Roman are not rushed) then why did she decide to have a gay relationship at all.
review 2: I think the story in this one just held a lot less interest for me. The book felt sort of formulaic to be honest, and when I think about it the last few did too. There's like an opening action scene where they're called by Chase unexpectedly to deal with something and it leads into what ends up being the overall plot for that book. Meh. I think it's a lit
... moretle disturbing how condescending the sisters are to humans now, how low their general opinion is towards humanity. On the one hand they're fighting to save the world but on the other they think humans are mostly reactionary bigots. It makes you wonder how the author thinks of us and herself, a little self hatred issue working itself out on the pages maybe? I dunno. It's a little much for me. We'll see if the next book is any better. less

Yasmine Galenorn is an amazing writer! Each book keeps you coming back for more! I love this series! Keeps you going from beginning to end. So hard to put down! Def must read for adults!"Ninth in the Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon urban fantasy romance series revolving, literally, amongst three sisters and the family they have accumulated in Seattle. The perspective this time is with Menolly.
