review 1: Bardzo sprawnie napisany, fajna fabuła, sporo fajnych bohaterów, cztery gwiazdki, prawdę mówiąc, gdyby cokolwiek równoważyło upiorny seksizm głównego bohatera i jego narzekania a'la-True-Detective na wszystkie okropne problemy faceta w średnim wieku. Podoba mi się styl Miłoszewskiego i naprawdę dobrze znaleźć kryminał, w którym dużo się dzieje, ale Szacki był ciężką próbą dla mojej cierpliwości.
review 2: This book didn't come together 100% for me, but maybe I missed something along the way. Even so, it was a very pleasureful read and I have no regrets. While the soviet communist party ruined much of eastern europe, they left a trail of great novels about oppression and corrupt bureaucracies. Szecki, the Polish prosecutor, is investig... moreating a murder that took place in a therapy workshop... but the machinery of communist times is still at play. A thoroughly enjoyable procedural --especially so for fans of eastern european writing. less
