review 1: I can't even begin to tell you how good this book is. As a person that enjoys and is attempting to write about the paranormal, this was definitely a five star read. It was filled with love and the scary and even some mathematical, scientific jargon that I couldn't begin to retain, it made it all feel so real. The love between the two MCs and then three was literally unworldly. There is definitely an HEA but I'm not going to say between who. Read it. It's a shocking, lovely story that I'm not going to forget.
review 2: I've stumbled across this book again seeing as I'm about to read another story by Adrienne Wilder. For some reason I didn't find it necessary to review before, but looking back I remember that THIS BOOK RUINED MY LIFE.Okay, it didn't ruin it. But
... more it made it a little brighter, perhaps. It's weird, that's for sure. Very. And emotionally draining and has you rooting for the protagonist (who is not quite alive) all the time. I also found myself wanting to SCREAM at him because you just want so much for both him and Charlie. The characters a re brilliant, while one (Briggs) is kind of an ass, to me. But he made Charlie happy and that was what was important. The storyline is heartbreaking, as you can imagine but the ending was....WOW. Did not expect that. At all. This is a short review (I never summarize the summary...seems pointless to me) but I just wanted to let people know how amazing it was and that they should definitely read it. I loved it the whole way through (which is rare).:) less
