review 1: Loved, loved, loved! Brilliant second book in the series! I'm loving Alafair's style and prose. The serial killer kept souvenirs of the women he killed and oh boy did that make my stomach curl..... I kept reading and eventually I had two suspects.... The twists, the dialog, the characters all came to life off the page and I was rooting for the new romance too! Boyfriend from 1st book turns out to be a cad who is just looking for the next best story to get his name in the head lines and sell books. I can't wait to the read the next title in the series. Ellie is a smart chick and so is the author!
review 2: For the second book in the series it was pretty good. The murder mystery was crime-stopper thrilling and the characters were mostly flushed out. I was at
... more a loss on Peter. There just wasn't enough for me to understand how he was such a promising awesome man in the first book to the scum-bag he becomes in the second. I dunno, I kinda felt like his character just made the author sick of him, so off he goes. Oh well. Other than that I think Ellie has grown on me so I will read the next book! :) less

Good, but not as good as the first in the Ellie Hatcher series. A tad predictable.

Not a very memorable book. I doubt I will read any more in the series.
