review 1: More like 3.5 stars. I didn't enjoy this quite as much as the previous two. Possibly because I struggled to get into the history side - the Crusades isn't really my jam - but more likely because reading three of these books back to back has made it fairly obvious that they're a little on the formulaic side: something weird happens and it's because history's been changed, Liam goes back to find out what it is, Liam manages to fuck things up even more, Maddie and Sal experience a timewave, blah blah, second timewave that leads to extremely weird and possibly apocalyptic world, Liam sorts shit out, everything goes back to normal, they eat bagels. Look, all of that said, it's still pretty fun. There's Richard the Lionheart, Robin Hood, an unexpected Sheriff of Nottingham, and ... morethe Holy Grail. And time travel. So it's still in the win column, really, because all of that combined is pretty excellent. Just maybe don't read them all back to back. Kind of like John Green books, but with time travel...
review 2: First of allThis book DESERVES 4.11 stars!We've all heard of Robin hood and admired him but we keep forgetting that he is a myth and it is possible that he did not do all he was said to have done and this book explores that fact and what would have happened if king john had been killed .liam is becoming a strong and wise young man and becks and bob provide a lot of laughs in very difficult circumstances.sal on the other hand is becoming a side character and sometimesyou forget that she's actually there,which i find a little dissapointing.maddy is becoming a leader and is finally given the importance that is due to her in this novel(according to me)adam lewis on the other hand is a welcome addition .He makes this story unique in his own way less
