review 1: North is why i continued to read this book.i think im in book withdrawal right now, having read Songbird Stolen and now incapable of getting it off my mind. so, desperate to distract myself, i picked up Brightly Woven (i've read The Darkest Minds and thought yeah i think i liked this author). i understand this is her first book and thats pretty awesome. There were definitely parts i didnt like/ found lacking e.g. setting, dialogue. i got lost several times and felt like a chunk had been taken out as i didnt know how Sydelle got to that line of thought etc. But North was awesome. he is the only male MC ive read of that i can remember that had no sense of direction. he had all these little quirks and flaws and yeah, i liked discovering his character.this was a nice read. im ... morestill in withdrawal :P
review 2: I won this book on a goodreads giveaway, and I was so excited to receive my copy (I've never won anything in my life!). I had emailed Ms. Bracken when I found out I won the book, and she was super nice :D When I got the book, Miss Bracken had signed it and given me a nice Thank-You note and a bunch of Brightly Woven bookmarks. From the moment I started the book, I knew I would like it. I love her writing style, it's descriptive and beautifully written. The story was awesome, I hope there's another one coming soon! :) less

Removed 1 star for casual rape reference. So very not necessary. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.
