review 1: Yuck. This was the absolute definition of chick lit. It bored me to tears, I don't know whether it was the storyline or the fact that it was entirely humourless. In fact, I don't even know why I read it. Why does everything get to go perfectly for Darcy the whole way through? And she's SUCH a boring and annoying character. The ending was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever read. I could go on but it's not even worth it. Not my sort of thing, no thank you.
review 2: Lovely book set upon a small island off the coast of Ireland. Darcy has "inherited" an island from her Aunt Molly whom she used to spend her childhood with. However in order to do so she has to live on this unihabited island for a year with 15 other people whom she has to find. Not so bad however D... morearcy is more interested in her designer labels, her acrylic nails and her high heels than getting back to nature. How will she survive? Will she take up the challenge? A great story with some Celtic magic along the way. less
