review 1: Whilst I did get hopelessly sucked in like I would with the movies it refers to, unlike them I didn't think it was that good. Just be warned that if you have seen Bridget Jones, Pretty Woman, Notting Hill & Love Actually then you will know EXACTLY what is going to happen as every situation presents itself and it will make you facepalm. But still, it was entertaining because of this ridiculousness. Just don't get too mad at the main character for being very slow at times and not making the connection or seeing the inevitable consequences.
review 2: I never hate books. But I most definitely did not like this one. The main character was a total nitwit, her whole idea about living life as a movie so fatally flawed that it borders on preposterous and the way she han... moredled things with her mom, her dad, her almost wedding - just plain dumb. Naive. Why, again, did she have two men fighting over her? Was there something to like? She was rude, she played games, she was irresponsible... And it wasn't even funny! I usually root for the goofballs, late bloomers and socially awkward. I was really disappointed. It started out fine. Then it just fizzled out... and fizzled some more. I couldn't even get excited about Sean in the end. He so stopped being interesting when he kept pursuing her... without a REASON! less
